Our Horses

We have 6 amazing, very friendly, highly trained therapy horses. Each one with their own back story. Most of our horses are rescues or come from less then ideal pasts. They range from ages 12 to 30. Each one of them have been doing therapy for several years now and know the ropes quite well. They do lead line rides, along with independent rides as well. Our horses are trained in Natural Horsemanship, where the relationship is put first and the horse is allowed to have a choice. We also do a lot of Liberty work with our horses and our Clients who are able.

Moses is our oldest and wisest horse. He is a Palomino Quarter Horse. He is 30 years old, though he doesn't look or act it. He has been doing therapy for 15 years and refuses to retire. He loves his job that much.

Teddy is our ex racehorse who is 17 years old. He is a Thoroughbred, and has been doing therapy for 12 years. He never made it to the actual race track because he was too slow, unlike his half brother, the Derby winner Barbaro.

Invy is our only Mare and is a 17 year old Quarter horse. Invy has been in our program for 8 years now and does both lead line and independent rides. She has been known to teach those capable how to canter,

Picasso is a 20 year old American Paint and has been one of our Therapy Horses for 6 years. He is very calm and gentle and as laid back as they come. He has been known to be trusted with some of the most fragile clients riding independently.

Magic is a 20 year old Tennessee Walking Horse who has been in our program for 5 years now, but has recently retired from mounted therapy. He has HEAVES, and struggles to breath so currently he's used for on the ground Liberty lessons, which he really enjoys.

Apollo is the youngest of our herd. He is 12 years old and is a Saddlebred/Quarter horse cross. He is also an amazing Liberty horse and teaches our students patience and helps them build confidence on the ground. He also is used to model how to properly ride for our independent riders.
